After being a newgrounds flash watcher for so long, I've finally found the motivation to become a flash artist! It's taken me a while but I'm getting there, slowly but surely. Over the past year, I have toyed around with many different ideas but none of them were original. But this month, I came up with something that's completely original, and it's something that i'm having a lot of fun with. The name of the Flash is "Luck of the Draw".

You might glance at the name and think, "It's another card game... blah blah blah" , but I can assure you, it's not. Luck of the Draw is set in a near-futuristic world, full of magicians, beasts, and fighters. The main Protagonist, Darien, is part of an group of rogue magic users. Their goal, protect the innocent with their powers. Darien, along with his friends: Kayla and Terrence, are all teenagers, so they are having more fun with being "super heroes" than anything else. However, it all turns ugly. A government organization, called MECH, is eyeing the movements of the group and seeks to acquire their unique powers for the purpose of global takeover. But what makes Darien and the others different from the other magic users around the globe? Dariens unique ability to use an ordinary deck of playing cards as weapons, spells, projectiles and more in battle. With 54 cards in a deck, that's 54 unique powers, and that's not counting his special abilities.
Darien and the others must now fight to put a stop to MECH's plans and restore peace to the world.

I'm still working on the storyline, but that's the basic synopsis for the series. The first episode is planned to be a 20 minute movie, with each recurring episode to be just 5-10 minutes long. The number of episodes in the series is pending. I hope that everyone will enjoy the finished product.
I plan to debut the pilot episode this spring (2009). Stay tuned for updates and character art.

After doing a little planning, I will be starting on the storyboard for the pilot episode this week.
